The People’s Car went all-electric when Volkswagen unveiled the ID4 (stylized ID.4) for model year 2021. It’s the German automaker’s first mass-market electric vehicle for the modern era, and the harbinger of a diverse lineup of VW EVs that will be badged with the “ID” prefix. For 2022 a dual-motor powertrain becomes available, bringing AWD capability to this electric crossover, plus there’s up to 20 miles of extra range and three years of free charging.

The all-electric BMW i4 sedan is an important piece of BMW’s expanding EV portfolio. It offers the style of the 4-series Grand Coupe with a battery powertrain and highly refined road manners. The new i4 offers Iconic Sounds Electric as an optional extra. This enables a variety of synthesized sounds played through the car’s speakers and coordinated with its acceleration. According to BMW the single-motor rear-drive i4 eDrive40 can travel up to around 300 miles on a full battery.

The Mini electric has a quoted range of 233 km under the new European WLTP test cycle. Real world driving range however is likely closer to 200 km

A total of 27.2 kg of visible (lower cockpit) and invisible parts (dashboard inner structure) are made out of recycled plastics. 95% of the vehicle will be recycled at the end of its lifecycle.”
