Think of the Mercedes-Benz as the smaller version of the EQS. If luxury is what you are after, this is it. The EQE is the brand’s most technologically advanced luxury sedan and an attempt at an electric equivalent to an S-class. It also offers the latest and greatest tech—including a giant Hyperscreen touchscreen, driver profiles based on fingerprint scans, and six USB-C ports. It spoils its riders with voluminous interior space, luxurious cabin materials, headrest pillows, massage functions, and neck-and-shoulder heating.

With a state-of-the-art 90kWh Lithium-ion battery using 432 pouch cells, the I-Pace delivers a range of 480km (WLTP cycle). Home charging with an AC wall box (7kW) will achieve the same state of charge in just over ten hours – ideal for overnight charging.
It is described as a ‘fun city-car’ rather than a ‘country cruiser’ due to the limited range offered by its 29kWh battery, however it does have fast-charge DC to facilitate longer day-trips beyond the range of a single charge. The Mini electric has a quoted range of 233 km under the new European WLTP test cycle. Real world driving range however is likely closer to 200 km
