Figuring out whether it is more cost-efficient to drive an EV. Would I still need to pay Road Tax if the car is electric?

No, EV’s (zero-emissions vehicles) are exempt from road tax, so you will do not have to pay fuel duty either. EV’s can be cost-effective, as long as you keep an eye on where you charge – charging garages are unregulated. It will be the most cost-effective to charge your vehicle at home. Also, see if there is a charging point close to home where you can charge for free.
